हज़ार ख़्वाब लिए जी रही हैं सब आँखें
तिरे बिना हैं मगर मेरी बे-सबब आँखें
Bearing a thousand dreams, these eyes live on
But without you,mine are reasonless eyes
चमकते चाँद सितारो गवाह तुम रहना
लगी रही हैं फ़लक से तमाम शब आँखें
You bright moon and stars, be my witness
Gazing skywards all night have been these eyes
तुम्हारे सामने रहती हैं नीम-वा हमदम
हया-शनास बहुत हैं ये बा-अदब आँखें
In front of you they remain half open
How courteous and bashful they are, these eyes
बस एक दीद की हसरत सजा के पलकों पर
मिलेंगी तुम से ख़यालों में बे-तलब आँखें
With only the desire to see you adorning the eyelashes
They will meet you in thoughts, these desireless eyes
सिला दिया है मोहब्बत का तुम ने ये कैसा
मसर्रतों में भी रोने लगी हैं अब आँखें
What is this reward you have given for loving you
Even in the midst of happiness they cry, these eyes
