ye shahr-e-sabz hai lekin bahut udaas hue
ġhamoñ kī dhuup meñ jhulse hue the Dere bhī
hudūd-e-shahr se bāhar bhī bastiyāñ phailīñ
simaT ke rah ga.e yuuñ jañgaloñ ke ghere bhī
samundaroñ ke ġhazab ko gale lagā.e hue
kaTe-phaTe the bahut duur tak jazīre bhī
