uḌne kī aarzū meñ havā se lipaT gayā
pattā vo apnī shāḳh ke rishtoñ se kaT gayā
ḳhud meñ rahā to ek samundar thā ye vajūd
ḳhud se alag huā to jazīroñ meñ baT gayā
andhe kueñ meñ band ghuTan chīḳhtī rahī
chhū kar muñDer jhoñkā havā kā palaT gayā
uDne ki aarzu mein hawa se lipaT gaya
patta wo apni shaKH ke rishton se kaT gaya
KHud mein raha to ek samundar tha ye wajud
KHud se alag hua to jaziron mein baT gaya
andhe kuen mein band ghuTan chiKHti rahi
chhu kar munDer jhonka hawa ka palaT gaya
