H پاو पाव, पाओ, pāʼo [S. पाद], s.m. Fourth part, quarter; the fourth part of a ser, a weight of about half a pound;—pāʼo ānā, s.m. One fourth of an anna, one pice:—pāʼo bhar, adj. A ser; about a ser:—pāʼo-takī, pāʼo-ṭakī, s.f. The fee of a qānungo allowed by Government at the rate of four annas per hundred rupees on the net revenue of each district, to defray the expenses of the establishment:—pāʼo-ćakkar, s.m. The fourth part of a circle, a quadrant:—pāʼo roṭī, s.f. A loaf of bread made in the European way, and weighing a pāʼo or quarter of a ser, i.e. about half a pound.
