H چهوٿا छोटा ćhoṭā [S. क्षुद्रकः], adj. (f. -ī), Little, small; less, lesser; younger, junior, minor; subordinate, inferior, common; trivial, trifling, unimportant, of no consequence; low, mean, insignincant, contemptible:—ćhoṭī bāt, s.f. A trifling matter or affair, a small or easy matter:—ćhoṭā bāṅṭne-wālā, s.m. (Math.), The least common multiple:—ćhoṭa-baṛa, adj. & s.m. Great and small, high and low; young and old; varied, various;—ćhoṭā ćānd, s.m. (local), The climbing plant Ophioxylon serpentinum (the root of which is said to be an excellent remedy for snake-bites):—ćhoṭā ṣāḥib, s.m. An assistant to a district officer; a subordinate European officer:—ćhoṭā muṅh baṛī bāt, 'Big words from a little mouth,' proud words from a weak stomach.
