H لت लत lat, s.f. contrac. of lāt, 'a kick' (used in comp.):—lat-ḵẖor, and lat-ḵẖorā, adj. & s.m. Kicked, beaten; contemptible, mean;—one who is kicked; a contemptible person; a slave;—a threshold; a hearth-rug (in these senses more com. lat-ḵẖorā):—lat-kundan, s.f. Ignominious treatment:—lat-kob, adj. Beating, cudgelling:—lat khānā, To suffer a kick or beating:—lat-marā, adj. & s.m.=lat-ḵẖor, q.v.:—lat-mardan (or lat-mardanī) karnā, v.t. To trample on, to tread on; to buffet:—lat-mardan-meṅ paṛnā, v.n. To be trampled under foot; to be disgraced.

(=lathaṛ-pathaṛ, and laṭ-paṭ, q.v.):—lat paṛnā, or lat ho-jānā (-ko), To become a habit or vice;—lat-phal, s.m. The consequences of bad babits:—lat-zada, adj. Of bad habits, vicious:—lat karnā (-kī), To beat any viscous substance till the viscosity comes out; to take the viscosity out (of):—lat-ghat, s.f. A plunderer; a murderer:—lūṭ-pāṭ, s.f. Plundering and ravaging, pillaging, plunder and sacking:—lūṭ paṛnā, v.n. Plundering to take place; to be plundered or pillaged:—lūṭ-kā māl, s.m.
