P گلي gilī (gil, q.v.+ī = S. इन्), adj. Of earth, made of earth or clay, earthy, earthen, clayey, argillaceous.

H گلي गली galī, corr. गल्ली gallī [prob. S. गड, or गल+इका], s.f. A narrow street, a lane, an alley;—a narrow pass between mountains:—galī-kūća, s.m. A narrow lane;—lanes and alleys:—galī-galī, or galī-ba-galī, adv. In every lane; from lane to lane, from street to street:—galiyāṅ ćhānnā (-kī), To wander through, or to scour, the lanes (of); to wander from lane to lane:—band galī, s.f. A blind lane or alley, a cul-de-sac.

H گيلا गीला gīlā (i.q. ghīla), s.m. A species of wild creeper, Mimosa scandens.

گلو gulū

P گلو gulū [or galū; Zend garaṅh, fr. gar; S. गल], s.m. The neck, throat, gullet, windpipe;—the voice:—gulū-band (by Europeans, and native servants, galā-band), s.m. A collar; a scarf for the neck, a neckerchief, neck-tie; a cravat;—a small rectangular plate of gold (studded with gems) worn on the throat:—gulū-gīr, adj. & s.m. Seizing by the throat; seizing or affecting the throat;—any acrid food (or drink) that constringes the palate or jaws;—being so affected in the throat (by trepidation or other cause) as to be unable to speak; one who seizes the throat (of); an accuser.
