P شيد shed, shaid [Pehl. shet; Zend khshaêta, fr. khshiṭ, rt. khshi; S. क्षित्, rt. क्षि (क्षयति)], adj. & s.m. Bright, shining, clear;—light; the sun; fascination (cf. ḵẖẉurshed).
