About The Author

Identity: Islamic thinker, linguist

Israr Alam was born in 1953 in the Indian state of Jharkhand. He gained considerable recognition in Islamic intellectual circles for his critical and analytical writings on Judaism, Zionism, and Dajjalism.

Israr Alam holds a distinguished place among his contemporaries due to his scholarly depth and linguistic expertise. He possesses command over several languages and is also familiar with ancient extinct languages such as Akkadian and Sumerian. His writings reflect deep engagement with history, religion, philosophy, linguistics, global politics, and Islamic thought.

He also remained associated with journalism and academic institutions. He served as the deputy editor of Radiance, the English journal published by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind from Delhi, and was the honorary editor of Urdu Book Review from November 1995 to September 1996. In addition, he delivered several academic and extension lectures at the Islamic Fiqh Academy, India.

Contemporary intellectual, political, and spiritual issues occupy a central place in Israr Alam’s writings. His notable works include Dajjal (3 volumes), Ma‘raka-e-Dajjal-e-Akbar, Islam aur Ikkiswin Sadi ka Challenge, Ummat ka Buhran, Aalam-e-Islam ki Akhlaqi Surat-e-Haal, Aalam-e-Islam ki Rohani Surat-e-Haal, Hindutva, Fitna-e-Dajjal-e-Akbar: Khatarat wa Tadabeer, Ya Sariya al-Jabal!
