About The Book
This book is a collection of selected articles exploring the significant role of Punjab in the development and sustenance of Urdu language and literature. It discusses the rich history of Urdu in Punjab, the challenges faced after the partition of India which led to a decline of Urdu in Eastern Punjab, and the ongoing efforts by various poets and writers to preserve and promote the language. The aim is to introduce both established and emerging Punjabi Urdu literary figures to a wider audience, encouraging further research and appreciation of their contributions.
