"peyam taleem" also ensured a variety of topics, ranging from informative and useful features to articles on embroidery, gardening, photography, and other interesting subjects. the editorials especially addressed children and discussed their problems and challenges, which made it highly engaging for young readers. the first issue of "peyam taleem" came out in april 1926 as a bi-weekly. at that time, the amir jamia hakim ajmal khan sent an important message to children, which remains significant today. he advised children: "you may be alone or with others, in your room, at school, or in the playground, always do what truly pleases you. do not suppress your real desires out of fear of others or to please them. do not imitate others unnecessarily. work from your own inner strength. by doing this, your mind, your character, and your body will all take the best possible shape, as they have the potential to." under the editorial leadership of muhammad hussain hassan, several special issues of "peyam taleem" were published, including the 1938 anniversary issue and the november-december 1946 jubilee issue. "peyam taleem" published a special issue in november 1974, recognizing his editorial contributions, which was titled "hussain hassan number." after the death of hussain hassan in 1974, wali shahjahanpuri took over as editor of "peyam taleem." later, shahid ali khan, the manager of maktaba jamia, was appointed as the editor. after shahid ali khan's retirement, the director of maktaba jamia continued to be the editor, with naib editor safi alam performing permanent services. "peyam taleem" was the first magazine to publish dr. zakir hussain, the former president of india, and his story "abu ki bakri" (father's goat). many of his other stories were also published in this magazine under the pen name raqiya rehana. "peyam taleem" also had the honor of publishing articles by india's first prime minister, pandit jawaharlal nehru. many of the works by mrs. saleha abid hussain (masdaq fatima) were also published in this magazine. apart from these, works by prominent writers such as josh malihabadi, jigar moradabadi, shafiuddin neer (on whom a special issue of the magazine was published), yusuf nazim, alqama shibli, salma javed, masooda hayat, afsar mearthi, professor mohammad mujib, professor rashid ahmad siddiqui, qudsia zaidi, mohammad yusuf papa, and many others were also featured. one of its popular series was "safarnama ibn battuta" written by maulana maqbool ahmad siwhari.
