sher-o-hikmat, published from hyderabad in january 1970, was also a modernist-influenced magazine. its compilers included mughni tabassum and shahryar. the name of akhtar jahan appeared as editor, while muhtashim naveed was listed as the managing editor. the magazine primarily focused on poetry. the title of shir-o-hikmat’s contents section was beautifully named "mafia", under which poems, songs, and ghazals were published. one of its special issues was the n. m. rashid number, which included important writings on his thoughts and artistic contributions. selected poems of n. m. rashid, a section titled "afadat-e-rashid", and his writings on modern persian poetry were also featured. the magazine published articles on contemporary poetry and literature, maintaining a strong focus on diversity in its content.
