A محال maḥāll, vulg. maḥāl, s.m. (pl. of maḥall, q.v.), Places; houses; streets; squares; courts; wards; districts; departments;—land or public fund producing a revenue to the government; real or landed estate;—a bee-hive, a honey-comb (pl. maḥallāt).
