H لت लत lat, s.f. contrac. of lāt, 'a kick' (used in comp.):—lat-ḵẖor, and lat-ḵẖorā, adj. & s.m. Kicked, beaten; contemptible, mean;—one who is kicked; a contemptible person; a slave;—a threshold; a hearth-rug (in these senses more com. lat-ḵẖorā):—lat-kundan, s.f. Ignominious treatment:—lat-kob, adj. Beating, cudgelling:—lat khānā, To suffer a kick or beating:—lat-marā, adj. & s.m.=lat-ḵẖor, q.v.:—lat-mardan (or lat-mardanī) karnā, v.t. To trample on, to tread on; to buffet:—lat-mardan-meṅ paṛnā, v.n. To be trampled under foot; to be disgraced.
