How much? how many? how often? how long?—so many; several, some, a few, sundry; (in comp.) quantity, as much or many, times, fold (e.g. du-ćand, 'two-fold'):—ćand dar ćand, adj. & adv. چند चन्द ćand
H چند चन्द ćand [Prk. चंदो; S. चन्द्रः], s.m. The moon (=ćāṅd):—ćand-badan, ćand-mukh, s.m. A face as bright or as beautiful as the moon;—adj.=ćand-badanā, ćand-badanī, or ćand-mukhā, or ćand-mukhī, adj. Moon-faced, having a face as beautiful as the moon (=S. ćandra-vadana, ćandra-mukha, &c.).
چاند चांद ćāṅd
H چاند चांद ćāṅd [Prk. चन्दो or चंदो; S. चन्द्रः], s.m. The moon; the crown of the head; a white spot in the forehead of cattle, &c. (and many other things which are moon-like); a semi-lunar gold ornament (worn under two others on the head); a target or mark (to shoot at); a lunar month:—ćāṅd-tārā, s.m. Cloth figured with moons and stars; a robe made of flowered muslin, &c.:—ćāṅd ćhipānā, v.n. To change as the moon:—ćāṅd dekhnā, v.n.
