قاف qāf
A قاف qāf, s.m. A fabulous mountain, supposed to surround the world and bound the extreme horizon (it rests on the stone saḵẖrat, an entire emerald, the reflection from which, according to the poets, occasions the azure colour of the sky; the qāf is the abode of the devs, and jinn or genii, and also of the parīs or fairies, and of the sīmurg̠ or great griffin);—Mount Caucasus:—koh-ě-qāf, s.m.=qāf.
ق qāf called qāf-ě-qarashat
ق qāf (called qāf-ě-qarashat), the twenty-seventh letter of the Urdū or Hindūstānī alphabet (the twenty-fourth of the Persian, and twenty-first of the Arabic, alphabet). It is a strongly articulated guttural, uttered by pressing the root of the tongue on the throat, and has been compared in sound to the caw of a raven. It does not occur in pure Persian, and has no analogous letter in Sanskrit. As a numeral qāf denotes 100.

ك kāf (called kāf-ě-tāzī, or kāf-ě-ʻarabī, 'the Arabic kāf,' to distinguish it from گ gāf, called kāf-ě-ʻajamī, 'the Persian kāfʼ), is the twenty-eighth letter of the Hindūstānī alphabet (the twenty-fifth of the Persian, and the twenty-second of the Arabic), and corresponds to क ka, the first consonant of the Nāgarī alphabet. Its sound is that of the English k. Its numerical value is 20:—ka-kār, s.m. The letter or sound ka:—ka-kār varg, or ka-varg, s.m. (in Hindī Gram.), The consonants of the क ka, or guttural class (viz. क, ख, ग, घ, ङ), the guttural consonants collectively.
