P پي pai [contrac. of pāʼe, or S. पाद्य], s.m. The foot; footstep; track, trace, mark, vestige; pursuit;—nerve, tendon, sinew;—adv. In the footsteps (of, -ke), in the track (of), in pursuit (of), following; after, behind (=pīćhe); by reason (of), on account (of), therefore:—pai-ā-pai, pai-ba-pai, pai-dar-pai, adv. Step by step; one after another, in succession, successively, consecutively; repeatedly, continuously, incessantly:—pai ānā, v.n. To have a splint (a horse):—pai-ḵẖāna, s.m.
