Sikandar (Alexander)
Sikandar, a student of Aristotle, was born in 356 BC. He became the ruler of Macedonia in the northern part of Greek after his father king Philip II was assassinated. After controlling rebellions at home, he consolidated his strength to win the world that his father had dreamt of. He swayed over Greece, Illyria, Thrace, Danube, Asia Minor, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Babylonia, Persia, Sogdia, Bactria, Afghanistan, and India. He emerged in history as one who crossed lands and civilisations and made his mark on their lives. He is, thus, rightly called Sikandar-e Azam (Alexander the Great).
