हम सिंबल्ज़ के दर्मियान ज़िंदगी गुज़ारते हैं। जो सिंबल्ज़ हमारी ज़िंदगी पर सबसे ज़ियादा असर-अंदाज़ होते हैं वो हुकमुरानों के पैदा किए हुए होते हैं। जब उन सिंबल्ज़ के बोसीदा मफ़ाहीम को चैलेंज किया जाता है तो ज़ुलम टूटता है।
हमने जिस समाज में आँख खोली है, उस समाज ने पेशतर इसके कि हमें अपनी सूझ-बूझ का इल्म होता, हमारी खोपड़ी में एक मख़्सूस मज़हब और देवमाला और उनके हवाले से एक मुल्क और उसकी तारीख़ का सारा कूड़ा भर दिया। अपने आपको इस बला-ख़ेज़ अह्द में जीने के क़ाबिल बनाने के लिए पहले हमें अपनी खोपड़ी साफ़ करना पड़ेगी।
समाज और फ़र्द की ज़िंदगी में मौजूद तज़ादात का एहसास, उनकी वाज़ेह पहचान और फिर उनसे छुटकारा पाने की कोशिश तख़लीक़ की जानिब पहला क़दम है।
मुझे महसूस होता है कि उर्दू के बेशतर अदीब ना जी रहे हैं, ना अदब लिख रहे हैं, बल्कि तंबोला खेल रहे हैं।
