aa gaya wasl mein un ko jo pasina ThanDa

KHwahish-e-sharbat-e-didar karun ya na na karun

wasl manzur na ho gar to ijara kya hai

naza mein wo mere pahlu se gae dil ki tarah

dil bhar aata hai jo wo is dil-e-nashad ke sath

bujhta chala hai shola dil-e-dagh-dar ka

hausla koi shab-e-wasl nikalne na diya

zahir do-rangi-e-chaman-e-rozgar hai

nala-kun hijr ki shab ko dil-e-na-saz nahin

misl dariya ke agar ashk-fishani hoti

usko sitamgari mein kisi dil se kya gharaz

kya ta-ba-zaban aae dil-e-zar ki aawaz
