ek nazar hi dekha tha shauq ne shabab un ka

KHayal-e-yar jab aata hai betabana aata hai

mumkin nahin ki bazm-e-tarab phir saja sakun

phir lauT kar gae na kabhi dasht-o-dar se hum

ab main hun aap ek tamasha bana hua

meri umr-e-rawan hai aur main hun

main dil mein unki yaad ke tufan ko pal kar

tera miTna dil-e-nashad bahut yaad aaya

jo dil ka raaz be-ah-o-fughan kahna hi paDta hai

kab is mein shak mujhe hai jo lazzat hai qal mein

tera KHayal hai dil-e-hairan liye hue

auj-e-kamal-e-sher hai hamd-o-sana-giri

nashe mein hun magar aaluda-e-sharab nahin

jalwa tera is tarah se nakaam na hota

koi izhaar-e-gham-e-dil ka bahana bhi nahin

itna bhi shor tu na gham-e-sina chaak kar

tamam umr mere dil ko ye ghurur raha

muddat ho gai saz-e-mohabbat khol de ab ye raaz

ai dil-e-nadan mataa-e-kam-nigahi par na ja

jab apne naghme na apni zaban tak aae

yun ek sabaq-e-mehr-o-wafa chhoD gae hum

dil ka jahan-e-tira chahak kar sanwar gaya

meri chashm-e-tamasha ab jahan hai
