Mohammad Khursheed was born on 1st June 1914 in Delhi. He passed his twelfth grade and became an accomplished Munshi Faazil. Poetry was in his genes and initially, his talent was chiseled by Bekhud Delhvi. For the following three years, he was under the guidance of Pandit Amar Nath Sahir Delhvi. During this period, he would compose poetry in Persian. His pen name was Nazish Haidery. A year after this, he became the disciple of Haider Delhvi and Haidery became his pen name. He had worked in many disciplines and was posted in a few foreign countries like Iran, Iraq and Palestine. In 1941, he prepared the elementary syllabus of Urdu that had been taught for twenty four years. Post partition, he migrated to Pakistan and was a senior staff member of Jung daily. He wrote Taaleem-E-Shairy and Rehnumaa-E-Shairy, the two journals on the rise of Urdu literature. Sadiyoun Ka Safar is the collection of his poetry. Besides, Urdu he also contributed to Persian, Hindi, Punjabi and English literature. He died on 17 February 1984 in Karachi.
