Born Shaheen Mufti Born in Sargodha, Pakistan, on 14 ,October, 1954. She is an important name in contemporary Urdu literature. She is professor and principal of post graduate college for women, Jalal pur chatta, Gujrat (Pakistan). She has many books to her credit: “Amanat” , “Musafat”, “pani pe qadam”, “kanara kis ne dekha hai”( poetry). Her other important books are : “Faiz ki shairi mien Rang”, “Urdu adab ka anti hero Anees Nagi”, “Jadeed Urdu nazm mien wujoodiat”, “ Das Amreeki Shairaat”, “Dostoevsky ki novel nigari” (research ) and , “Dashte raigani mien” (translation of modern Arabic poems).
