dhokā thā nigāhoñ kā magar ḳhuub thā dhokā

mujh ko tirī nazroñ meñ mohabbat nazar aa.ī

dhoka tha nigahon ka magar KHub tha dhoka

mujh ko teri nazron mein mohabbat nazar aai

hamesha ġhair kī izzat tirī mahfil meñ hotī hai

tire kūche meñ jā kar ham zalīl-o-ḳhvār hote haiñ

hamesha ghair ki izzat teri mahfil mein hoti hai

tere kuche mein ja kar hum zalil-o-KHwar hote hain

in hī kā naam mohabbat in hī kā naam junūñ

mirī nigāh ke dhoke tirī nazar ke fareb

in hi ka nam mohabbat in hi ka nam junun

meri nigah ke dhoke teri nazar ke fareb
