karb-e-hijrāñ zi-bas hai kyā kiije
ham ko terī havas hai kyā kiije
ne dimāġh-e-visāl hai ham ko
kuchh unheñ pesh-o-pas hai kyā kiije
hijr meñ us nigār-e-tābāñ ke
lamha lamha baras hai kyā kiije
nighat-e-gul ke ābgīnoñ meñ
marg-e-shīrīñ kā ras hai kyā kiije
garche darvesh hai 'azīm' magar
us ko tujh se bhī mas hai kyā kiije

hum ko teri hawas hai kya kije
ne dimagh-e-visal hai hum ko
