shāyad ki mar gayā mire andar kā aadmī
āñkheñ dikhā rahā hai barābar kā aadmī
sūraj sitāre koh o samundar falak zamīñ
sab ek kar chukā hai ye gaz bhar kā aadmī
āvāz aa.ī pīchhe palaT kar to dekhiye
pīchhe palaT ke dekhā to patthar kā aadmī
is ghar kā telephone abhī jaag jā.egā
sāhab ko le ke chal diyā daftar kā aadmī
zarre se kam-bisāt pe sūraj-nigāhiyāñ
'ḳhālid' bhī apnā hai to muqaddar kā aadmī
