Hakeem Muhammad Hasan was born on 26 August 1912, in Gwalior. He was popularly known as Shifa Gwaliari where Shifa was his pen name. He completed reading the Quran by the age of eight years. Besides, Uloom-e-Mashriq, he had also learned English. His love for poetry began at an early age and it made him a disciple of Seemab Akbarabadi in 1940. He took a few years to complete his tenth because of repeated failures. Following this, he studied medicine and secured a job in medical department. During the revolutionary period of 1947 he moved to Bhopal, where he established his private clinic named Shifa Medical Hall. He passed away in
