About The Author
Ta'ashshuq Lakhnawi, Sayyid Mirza, also known as Sayyid Sahab (1824–1892), was the grandson of the greatest marsiya poet, Mir Anees. He established a distinct identity in both marsiya and ghazal poetry. The refinement and precision of language in his poetry are evident from afar.
