Syed Muhammad Anwar was born on 2 December 1925 in Lahore. He was known as Shohrat Bukhari, where Shohrat was his pen name. Initially, he used the pen name Nargis. His literary guide was Ehsan Danish. He passed his masters with distinctions in Urdu and Persian. He worked for some time in Majls-e-Zaban-e-daftar, after which he joined academics and had been the head of the Department of Urdu and Persian at Islamia College of Lahore. Collections of works are; Taaq-e-Abruu, Deewar-e-Giriya And Khoye Hu’on Ki Justuju. He passed away on 11 October 2001 in
