Salman Sarwat, born on September 17, 1977 at Karachi, is the son of celebrated Urdu poet Sarwat Hussain. He holds the degrees of M.Phil (Finance), M.Com, M.A. (Philosophy), ACMA. He worked at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, National Bank of Pakistan. He currently a faculty member at Barrett Hodgson University, Karachi. He is a member of noted literary organizations that include Halqa e Arbab e Zauq, Karachi; Pakistan Art Council Karachi; and Sukhanwar Adabi Forum, Karachi. He has published his poetry in prestigious journals like Dunyazaad, Adadiyaat.
