About The Author
Aseer, Syed Muzaffar Ali (1800–1882), was born in Amethi (U.P.) but raised in Lucknow. He held prominent positions in the courts of three Nawabs of Awadh and was a distinguished disciple of Mushafi. After the exile of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, he became associated with the court of Nawab Yusuf Ali Khan of Rampur. His renowned disciples included Amir Minai and Riaz Khairabadi.
