Shaheen Abbas was born on November 29, 1965, in Sheikhupura, Punjab, and pursued his education at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Although he is a professional engineer by trade, his journey into poetry began in 1980. His debut collection, Tahayyur , was published in 1998, featuring a series of ghazals. Subsequent works include Wabasta (2002), Khuda Ke Din (2009), Munadi (2013), and Daras Dhara (2014), with his most recent collection, Galiyon Galiyon, also adding to his repertoire. In addition to his poetry, he has authored a novel and a collection of short stories. Since the 1990s, he has established himself as a significant figure among Pakistan’s leading poets.
