نئ نسل کے جن شاعروں نے ادبی حلقوں کو چونکایا ہے ان میں سے ایک نام امیر امام کا بھی ہے۔ 'نقش پا ہواوں کے' ان کا پہلا شعری مجموعہ ہے جس کیلئے ان کو سا ہتیہ اکادمی یوا پرسکار سے بھی نوازا گیاہے۔ امیر امام کی شاعری اپنے موضوعات اور شعری اظہار کی تازگی کی وجہ سے اپنا انفراد قائم کرتی ہے۔ امیر امام کے شعری متن کی ایک خاص بات یہ بھی ہے کہ ان کے یہاں کلاسیکی غزل کے شعور نے نئے موضوعات اور تازہ لسانی ترکیبوں سے ملکر ایک دلچسپ فضا پیدا کی ہے۔ ان کے یہاں تجربہ پسندی کا وہ مزاج نہیں جو اپنی اکثر صورتوں میں تخلیقی متن کی خرابی کا سبب بنتا ہے.

Among the newcomers to Urdu poetry in India in the last few years, there are only a few who have had the innate ability to compose poetry. One of them is Amir Imam. Amir Imam hails from Sanbhal in Uttar Pradesh. He was born on June 30, 1984. With an MA in English, he is currently in the teaching profession.

He is well versed in the art of writing unique essays and saying new things. The timely use of similes and metaphors is also a mirror of his creative and individualistic mind.

His two collections of poetry "Naqsh-e-Pa Hawaa Ke" and "Subh-Ba-KHair Zindagi" have come to the fore which have been well received in the literary circles. His first collection of poetry "Naqsh Paa Hawaan Ke" has been awarded Sahitya Akademi Yuva Praskar.
