Name, Bilqees Jamal. Penname Jamal. Born in Bareilly on the 8th of December, 1909. She lived in Allahabad in her early years. She was homeschooled. She lived in Muzaffarnagar after marriage and then migrated to Pakistan. Her elder sister was a well know poetess Shipeher- aara Pinhan. She use to write essays from an tender age which were published in Magazines and journals. She has two compilations to her credit named "Aiena-e-jamal" (1933) and " Qaus-e-Qazah" (Ranibow). She used to write long poems on social concerns as well as on romantic themes.
