the magazine "sab ras" (january 1938) was also an important publication. it served as the official organ of the idara adabiyat-e-urdu, hyderabad deccan and was published under the supervision of dr. syed mohiuddin qadri zor. the editor of the magazine was sahibzada mir muhammad ali khan maikash, while its editorial board included khwaja hameeduddin m.a., sakina begum, and mahinder raj saxena. the objectives and guidelines of sab ras were clearly outlined as follows: articles related to current politics and religious debates would not be considered for publication under any circumstances. unbiased criticism of urdu publications would be carried out to cultivate a refined literary taste in urdu authorship and compilation. masterpieces from other languages would be translated into urdu to enhance the intellectual and literary resources of the language. the primary goal of this magazine was the revival and preservation of dakhni (deccani) language and literature. it played a crucial role in promoting dakhni literature, and its articles on dakhni studies and debates continue to serve as a guiding light for researchers in this field. sab ras also published several special issues, including: iqbal number deccan number urdu number progressive literature number other dedicated tribute editions
