About The Author
Afroz Taj was born in Etah district, Uttar Pradesh. Currently he is working as professor of South Asian Studies University of North Carofina USA. His areas of interest include Urdu poetry, Theatre, Musical drama, South Asian cinema and Media. 'A Door into Hindi" and "Darvaza- a door into Urdu" are the websites created by him to learn Hindi and Urdu. Apart from this he also co-host the weekly video show "Geet Bazar".
