About The Author

An important name among Prem Chand's contemporaries is Sajjad Haider Yildirim. He was born in 1880 in the Nahtwar District, Bijnor. He came to Aligarh for higher education and became interested in Turkish language and literature. After graduating, he was appointed as a spokesman for the Turkish Embassy in Iraq. After various jobs, he became the Registrar of Aligarh Muslim University. He finally settled in Lucknow. He died here in 1943.

Their focus is so much on the finesse and decoration of the language that it is often offensive. "Khayalistan", a collection of his fictions, includes translations of Russian and English fictions as well as Yildirim's own writings.
