ashk jo chashm-e-KHu-fashan se gira
ashk jo chashm-e-ḳhū-fashāñ se girā
thā sitārā ki āsmāñ se girā
ātish-e-gul pe jal kabāb huā
raat bulbul jo āshiyāñ se girā
shīsha-e-dil to chuur ho jaatā
koī patthar na āsmāñ se girā
maiñ ne āñkhoñ pe le liyā us ko
phuul jo dast-e-bāġhbāñ se girā
hañs diyā yaar ne jo raat 'ḳhalīq'
khā ke Thokar us āsmāñ se girā
