baḌh rahī hai be-qarārī āj-kal
chhā rahī hai sogvārī āj-kal
'aks āñkhoñ meñ ḳhushī ke the magar
hai laboñ par āh-o-zārī āj-kal
ik shajar sā kyā huā merā vujūd
chal rahī hai mujh pe aarī āj-kal
haa.e ye kaisī vabā hai har taraf
ek dahshat sī hai taarī āj-kal
muflisī kis ko sunā.e dard-e-dil
hai kahāñ īmān-dārī āj-kal
aglī nasloñ ko 'sabā' kyā deñge ham
hai yahī bas be-qarārī āj-kal
baDh rahi hai be-qarari aaj-kal
chha rahi hai sogwari aaj-kal
'aks aankhon mein KHushi ke the magar
hai labon par aah-o-zari aaj-kal
ek shajar sa kya hua mera wujud
chal rahi hai mujh pe aari aaj-kal
hae ye kaisi waba hai har taraf
ek dahshat si hai tari aaj-kal
muflisi kis ko sunae dard-e-dil
hai kahan iman-dari aaj-kal
agli naslon ko 'saba' kya denge hum
hai yahi bas be-qarari aaj-kal
