ख़ैर हो तेरी मुझे छोड़ के जाने वाले
आख़िरश कौन सा रस्ता है जिधर जाते हैं
छोड़ कर राह में ये साथ निभाने वाले
हम तो शे'रों को उदासी के सबब कहते हैं
जाने क्यों जलते हैं फिर हम से ज़माने वाले
जगहें कुछ होतीं नहीं यार तुम्हारे लाएक़
हर जगह होते हो तुम पाँव जमाने वाले
अपनी उम्रें भी बिताईं कि जतन लाख किए
फिर भी नाकाम रहे हक़ को दबाने वाले
वो क्या जाने हैं ये तासीर क़लम की 'हमज़ा'
लोग होते हैं जो तलवार चलाने वाले
