bastiyāñ chup jo huiiñ bin bole
shahr-e-ḳhāmosh meñ madfan bole
bāġhbānī kā hai sab ko da.ave
aa gayā vaqt ki gulshan bole
nok-e-ḳhanjar pe sadā tultī hai
ab agar bol sake fan bole
dil pe haiñ naqsh vo terī bāteñ
jab zabāñ guñg huī tan bole
koī pairāya-e-iz.hār to ho
chup haiñ alfāz to dhaḌkan bole

baghbani ka hai sab ko dawe
aa gaya waqt ki gulshan bole
nok-e-KHanjar pe sada tulti hai
ab agar bol sake fan bole
dil pe hain naqsh wo teri baaten
jab zaban gung hui tan bole
koi pairaya-e-izhaar to ho
chup hain alfaz to dhaDkan bole
