be-rañg the aarzū ke ḳhāke
vo dekh rahe haiñ muskurā ke
ye kyā hai ki ek tīr-andāz
jab taake hamāre dil ko taake
ab soch rahe haiñ kis kā dar thā
ham sambhle hī kyuuñ the Dagmagā ke
ik ye bhī adā-e-dilbarī hai
har baat zarā ghumā phirā ke
dil hī ko miTā.eñ ab ki dil meñ
pachhtā.e haiñ bastiyāñ basā ke
ham vo ki sadā fareb khaa.e
ḳhush hote rahe fareb khā ke
chhū aa.ī hai un kī zulf 'mahshar'
andāz to dekhiye sabā ke
