chāñdnī-rāt meñ añdherā thā
is tarah bebasī ne gherā thā
mere ghar meñ basī thī tārīkī
ghar se bāhar magar saverā thā
vo kisī aur kā huā hai aaj
vo jo kal tak to sirf merā thā
uḌ ga.e aas ke sabhī panchhī
jin kā dil meñ mire baserā thā
bas vahīñ 'josh' kā mazār hai aaj
kal jahāñ bevafā kā Derā thā
chandni-raat mein andhera tha
is tarah bebasi ne ghera tha
mere ghar mein basi thi tariki
ghar se bahar magar sawera tha
wo kisi aur ka hua hai aaj
wo jo kal tak to sirf mera tha
uD gae aas ke sabhi panchhi
jin ka dil mein mere basera tha
bas wahin 'josh' ka mazar hai aaj
