chandni sher ki khuli har su
chāñdnī sher kī khulī har sū
hans ke kahtī hai shā.era hai tū
tham gayā hai safar sitāre kā
kis ne chūmā hai raat kā aañsū
utre āñchal pe āsmāñ se diye
zer-e-lab muskurā.ī hai ḳhushbū
kaun mahkā hai ās-pās mire
khul ga.e mere sher ke gesū
aa gayā hai savāl ulfat kā
likh rahī huuñ kamāl kā jaadū
