This is the famous ghazal of Baqi Siddiqui who used to work in Radio Pakistan. He wrote this ghazal and gave it to the famous ghazal singer Iqbal Bano which later became one of the main cause of her fame.
dāġh-e-dil ham ko yaad aane lage
log apne diye jalāne lage
kuchh na pā kar bhī mutma.in haiñ ham
ishq meñ haath kyā ḳhazāne lage
yahī rasta hai ab yahī manzil
ab yahīñ dil kisī bahāne lage
ḳhud-farebī sī ḳhud-farebī hai
paas ke Dhol bhī suhāne lage
ab to hotā hai har qadam pe gumāñ
ham ye kaisā qadam uThāne lage
is badalte hue zamāne meñ
tere qisse bhī kuchh purāne lage
ruḳh badalne lagā fasāne kā
log mahfil se uTh ke jaane lage
ek pal meñ vahāñ se ham uTThe
baiThne meñ jahāñ zamāne lage
apnī qismat se hai mafar kis ko
tiir par uḌ ke bhī nishāne lage
ham tak aa.e na aa.e mausam-e-gul
kuchh parinde to chahchahāne lage
shaam kā vaqt ho gayā 'bāqī'
bastiyoñ se sharār aane lage
dagh-e-dil hum ko yaad aane lage
