diid kā ishtiyāq thoḌī hai
us ko ranj-e-firāq thoḌī hai
merī qismat se vo mile haiñ mujhe
ye koī ittifāq thoḌī hai
sham'-e-ulfat jalāo.ge kaise
merā dil koī taaq thoḌī hai
un se kuchh iḳhtilāf hai lekin
merā zaatī nifāq thoḌī hai
faḳhr se baat sachchī kahtā huuñ
is meñ kuchh istirāq thoḌī hai
harf chun chun ke lā.iye 'faisal'
shā'irī hai mazāq thoḌī hai
