اپنا کوئی غم خوار تو ہوتا
صحرا بھی کر لیتے گوارا
ذکر در و دیوار تو ہوتا
سایۂ زلف یار نہیں تھا
سایۂ یاد یار تو ہوتا
آنکھوں سے کچھ خون ہی بہتا
وہ دامن گلکار تو ہوتا
لاکھ طلوع مہر تھے لیکن
کوئی شب-بیدار تو ہوتا
