فن اصل میں پنہاں ہے دل زار کے اندر
فن کار ہے اک اور بھی فن کار کے اندر
کانٹوں پہ بچھاتا ہے گلابوں کا بچھونا
دو رنگ ہیں اک ساتھ مرے یار کے اندر
وہ شور تھا محفل میں کوئی سن نہیں پایا
اک چیخ تھی پازیب کی جھنکار کے اندر
تم سچ کی زینت تھے مجھے دیکھتے کیسے
میں بھی تھا نئی صبح کے اخبار کے اندر
اسرارؔ مجھے دل نے یہ کل رات بتایا
شعلہ ہوں بلندی کا میں اک خار کے اندر
