garche baatil ko na-pasand raha
garche bātil ko nā-pasand rahā
na.ara-e-haq magar buland rahā
jis ne arz-e-niyāz bhī na sunī
dil usī kā niyāz-mand rahā
pī liyā zahr-e-talḳhī-e-ayyām
phir bhī lahja hamārā qand rahā
be-hisī thī mire ta.āqub meñ
is liye maiñ fasīl-band rahā
sar-nigūñ ratjagoñ ko honā paḌā
parcham-e-ḳhvāb sar-buland rahā
kyā mile us se ek baar 'suḳhan'
mauj meñ fikr kā samand rahā
