haal-e-gham un ko sunate jaiye
hāl-e-ġham un ko sunāte jā.iye
shart ye hai muskurāte jā.iye
aap ko jaate na dekhā jā.egā
sham.a ko pahle bujhāte jā.iye
shukriyā lutf-e-musalsal kā magar
gaahe gaahe dil dukhāte jā.iye
dushmanoñ se pyaar hotā jā.egā
dostoñ ko āzmāte jā.iye
raushnī mahdūd ho jin kī 'ḳhumār'
un charāġhoñ ko bujhāte jā.iye
haal-e-gham un ko sunate jaiye
shart ye hai muskuraate jaiye
aap ko jate na dekha jaega
shama ko pahle bujhate jaiye
shukriya lutf-e-musalsal ka magar
gahe gahe dil dukhate jaiye
dushmanon se pyar hota jaega
doston ko aazmate jaiye
raushni mahdud ho jin ki 'KHumar'
un charaghon ko bujhate jaiye
